- Chock front wheels
- Loosen lugs (21 mm)
- Lift rear axle
- Place jack stands under frame
- Remove wheels
- Lower axle to release tension
- Loosen nuts under plate (19mm)
- Remove U bolts
- Remove bottom nuts on shocks and remove shocks from plate
- Remove plate
- Install short U bolts
- Tighten plate, ensuring alignment of plate, axle, and springs
- Install shocks and tighten bolts (size)
- Tighten nuts by hand
- Install wheels and tighten lug nuts (21mm)
- Lower truck and snug lug nuts
